So, I am new to the blogging world. This is my very first post. I'm not quite sure how to do this or what to write. Seeing a couple of my friends' blogs made me want to do this. God has done so much in my life, and I want to be sure He gets all the glory. It will be hard to get our full story down tonight, so starting with the most current news will be easier.
On August 13, my husband, Keith, began having chest pains. We rushed him to the emergency room at Ochsner's. He was taken back quickly and examined. The doctor's first thought was that Keith might have a blood clot on his lung. After chest xrays and a CAT scan, it was determined that he did not have a blood clot, and his EKG was fine. He was released and sent home. We spent the weekend trying to get some rest, and on Monday we were advised to go to the ER at University Hospital, where we sat all night long and was finally called back. No news from them either. We were referred to the LSU Clinic where he has seen two different doctors both of whom have done different blood tests all of which has shown little or nothing. We are getting up bright and early in the morning to go the Cardiac Clinic at University for a cardiac stress test. I'm sure we won't get any results tomorrow. I'm expecting more like Friday.
This is going on Week 4 that Keith has been in pain with little or no relief. He was enrolled full-time as a student this semester at NOBTS, but since all this has come up, he has had to drop back to only hours this semester. So frustrating. This is also going on Week 4 that he has been out work due to the pain and pain medications that he has been taking. It's getting tough, but we are confident that God's hand is upon us and that everything will work out for His glory.
I go for a regular check-up tomorrow afternoon with my doctor, as I am expecting our third child sometime within the next few weeks. Everything has been great up to this point and we are expecting everything to continue on course just fine. We are excited to meet Cooper Thames Peden (that's his name). We can't wait to see what he looks like. Our girls, Marli who's 9, and Shelli who's 13, can't wait to meet their little brother.
As for right now, that is where the Peden's are. I want more than anything to make sure God gets all the glory and that His name praised for all He has done for our family. He has brought us through so much and has given us so much victory. I will give you the past praises at a later time. Follow this blog and learn more about the Pedens. God is good!
